L&M: Jay Chou, Tornado

Jay Chou is an excellent composer and singer (this is a personal opinion, of course). Tornado is only one of his popular songs, maybe one of the best known.

TORNADO

Love is like a gust of wind
Finished blowing, it then goes away
This kind of rhythm
No one can cope with
Afterwards without you
My soul goes out of control
The dark cloud is landing
I am pulled away by it

Stealthily, secretly, quietly leave
Falling into the brink of danger
Baby~
My world is already hit by a violent storm

Wu~

Love has come too fast just like a tornado
Cannot leave the windstorm circle, too late to escape
I cannot think again
I cannot think again
I can’t
I can’t
I cannot

Love has gone too fast just like a tornado
Cannot bear it, I have already nowhere to hide
I don’t want to think again
I don’t want to think again
I can’t
I can’t
I don’t want to think of you again

Without knowing it
You have already left me
Without knowing it
I have followed this rhythm
In hindsight
Passed another autumn
In hindsight
I should make good use of my life

CG&Ct: Jay Chou's Mercedes Benz.

Sometimes, odd things happen to Jay Chou (Zhou Jie Lun).

For instance,
if you're above 18 you could take your time and try to read the t-shirt he was wearing at a performance:

STOP READING IF YOU'RE TOO YOUNG: I like it spread on your pussy, too.I like it when people lick it off.I like it when they're desperate for the very last drop, you got some? Have you tried it on your pussy? Lick it up * pussy. Spread your legs bitch, spread them wide, I wanna lick it off.

I guess his female viewers were very, veeeery nervous that day. However, today's post is not about his inviting shirt, but about some other odd thing that happened to him not so long ago.

I snatched the following text from jaycn.com. I found it so funny, I just have to post it here.

NOTE: The literal translation is provided along with the pinyin transcription, whereas a more understandable translation is given separately. Any mistakes, just let me know.

Difficulty: *****
Short, but intense (like his t-shirt)

为了配合古迹特别奔驰骨董场面,

Chou, in order to match with the old buildings in the spot, brought along one of his antique Mercedes Benz.

可惜老车
不争气锚,

Unfortunately, the old car decided to break down.

最后

In the end, a most embarrassed Jay Chou ended up sitting in the car while the others on the set almost died, so tired they got, after pushing the car from behind in order to complete the shoot.

WARNING: This blog is GAY

Dear Tai:

Thanks for your wise criticism.

I already learnt of the possibility for bloggers to be taken for gays. What I didn't know is that the very blogs we write manifest sexual tendencies.

I might as well make a very clear warning for any possible visitor. DON'T EXPECT A MACHO BLOG. Tai has spoken:

Oh, so gay!

This blog is gay, 同性恋, mariposón, homo!!

Coming to think of it, what is it in a blog that makes it a gay blog, and not a lesbian blog, or nechrophilic? Does it come from using terms such as Nourish/ Delicate? Is it because of the clear phallic elements in the main picture (the chopsticks)?

Can the two chopsticks over the bowl on a broken surface, be an overt reference to onanism?

Anyway... Those of you who think a blog's gayness might get contangious, please get out of this blog, the gayest in the galaxy, preferably by clicking on the adds to the left.

(Thanks to Sinosplice, as always, for the pinyin tip.)

Ct: A Chinese Proverb.

Chinese proverbs are an excellent way to know their culture, while we are told a lesson.

Today I have chosen one of my favourite ones:

塞翁失马
When the old man lost a horse...

The story begins when an old man of the frontier loses his horse (that's what the proverb recalls). The horse fled into a dangerous area, so it was impossible to bring it back.

However, thought to himself: "Who says this may not be a blessing one day?"

Several months later, the horse came back along with a group of fine horses. The man was congratulated by relatives and friends, but he thought: "Who says this won't turn out to be a misfortune?"

The old man's son loved the new horses so much, he often took a ride on them. Since the horses well not well tamed, he fell off one of them one day, and became crippled. The old man thought: "Who says this may not be a blessing in disguise?".

Some time later, the area were the old man lived was invaded. Most young people living in the frontier regions had to join the army to fight the invaders. About nine out of every ten of the draftees were killed in the battle. As a cripple, the old man's son did not have to fight, so that he survived the border war.

"Therefore, a blessing may turn out to be a misfortune and the contrary also be true".

NOTES:
塞(sài):frontier. 失(shī):lose. 马(mǎ): horse
翁(wēng):ancient Chinese word, meaning "old man".

How many modern examples could we find of this?
